Introducing Queer Headed's first community led club- Bowling Club led by Justin Gimmillaro! The first bowling club event will be held on February 19th from 6-8pm at Kingpin Bowling in Egg Harbor Township. Each participant will pay for their own shoe rentals, game fees, and food at the venue. Come work on your spin and hang with fellow queers!

On February 9th join Queer Headed for our second edition of Queer Speed Dating!! Come find your potential flame or make new friends!

This event is 18+ and open to all relationship styles- polyamory, monogamy, platonic, etc. It will be run as a "everyone for everyone" event, meaning you will not be paired with people based on identity or orientation. As such not every person you talk to may be compatible romantically, but everyone will be queer and each date will be a chance at a meaningful connection :)

We are limited to 30 spots due to the size of the venue so RSVP quickly to secure your spot!

This month's nature walk will be held at Belleplain State Forest in Woodbine. We will be meeting in the Lake Nummy parking lot and walking 3.3 miles on flat, sandy terrain. Dress in warm layers and bring water and a snack!

Pinball, Pac-man, and Plentiful queers! Join Queer Headed on January 18th from 5:30-7:30pm for a night at a retro arcade! 

Starcade is a retro gaming arcade located in the Hamilton Mall that houses dozens of vintage pinball machines, retro arcade games like Pac-man, Galaga, Gauntlet, and more as well as more modern arcade games and console games. 

No quarters or tokens are required as a ticket grants unlimited plays of all games! When you arrive at the arcade let the cashier know you're with Queer Headed then head to the party area on the right hand side for snacks and drinks :)

This month's nature walk will be at Cape May Point State Park! The park has a beautiful blend of coastal dunes, marshland, and forest habitats.  

We'll be meeting at the start of the yellow trail on the far side of the main parking lot near the bird viewing platform at 1pm and walking about 3 miles on a mix of sandy trails, boardwalks, and forest trails. It will likely be cold and windy so be sure to dress in warm layers with a good coat on top. 

**Cold weather layering tips: 

• Wear synthetic fabrics like acrylic, polyester, etc as a base layer closest to your skin with several layers on top that can be wool, wool blend, cotton blend, etc. 

• Never wear cotton as a base layer as it holds moisture to your skin and can increase your chance of hypothermia in cold weather. 

• Don't forget to also wear a warm hat, gloves, warm socks, and a scarf or something to keep your neck warm- protecting your extremities is important in cold weather. 

• If you have sensitive sinuses consider also wearing a cloth face mask/face covering as it can help warm up the air as you breathe and prevent sinus inflammation.

Join Queer Headed for a 3 mile walk at Maurice River Bluffs Preserve in Milville. The walk will take us through forest, field, marsh, and along the river and will be on somewhat hilly terrain. Bring water, snacks, and wear comfortable walking clothes.

Join us for a nature walk in Wharton State Forest along the Mullica River trail!

We will be walking a 2 mile section of the trail with mostly sandy terrain and a few narrow boardwalks and bridges.

We will be parking in a dirt lot at the back of Batsto Village (past the turn for the entrance to the village by 0.6 miles if you’re coming from the east on Hammonton Road, 0.6 before the turn for the entrance if you’re coming from the west on Hammonton Road). You can also park in the main lot for the village and walk through the village to the trailhead- just plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early to meet us at the lot at 1pm and be aware this will add 1.2 miles onto your walk total.

Join Queer Headed and Trans Equity Coalition for an unforgettable beach day! Come enjoy the peak of summer with other queers of South Jersey- whether you’re from Jersey or just visiting, this is the perfect opportunity to meet new people, relax by the ocean, and have a blast!

We are thrilled to collaborate with Trans Equity Coalition, whose mission is to improve overall quality of life for trans and non-binary people in NJ. Come meet them and learn more about their amazing work!

There will be tents for shade, non-alcoholic drinks, food, and fellowship!

In case of rain we will reschedule this event for July 28th, 2-5pm.
